Gan Rashal Nahalat Ada

Established in the early 1950s, Gan Rashal is named after the acronym Rachel, Sarah and Leah, the wives of the original landowners of the Gan Rashal orchard. In the western part, there are about 30 buildings built in the mid-1970s for young couples. In the older eastern part, there are semi-detached houses on plots between 250 - 500. The neighbourhood contains the Ilanot primary school. In recent years, demand and prices have risen significantly due to the Interdisciplinary Center located across the road. Many buildings in the neighbourhood have undergone improvement under Tama 38/1 (seismic-retrofit scheme), bringing a new, young population to the area. Nahalat Ada The quiet of the neighbourhood gives it a relaxed rural atmosphere instead of the surrounding urban pressure. Characteristics: 500 sqm houses in the centre of the neighbourhood, a project built for young couples in 2000 consisting of buildings with only 4 flats to maintain the rural character. Today, families are moving in, discovering the potential of the neighbourhood as an isolated area surrounded by orchards and agricultural land, which give it a rural tone, and are building luxury homes, enjoying the pastoral quiet and calm the neighbourhood provides. The older neighbourhood is becoming sought after by a very high socio-economic population, and every plot or old house offered for sale is snapped up. Today, one can find spectacular architect-designed houses with swimming pools in Nahalat Ada, mostly built on plots starting from half a dunam.
